Plot
Zed and Addison are now freshmen at Mountain College. They are busy with football and cheerleading, leaving little time for each other. During a summer road trip, a strange energy surge causes Zed’s Z-band to fail, crashing their car. They get lost and split up to find help .
Zed meets the Daywalkers, led by Nova, who live in sunlight. Addison meets the Vampires, led by Victor, who prefer darkness. Both groups fight over Blood Fruit, a rare energy source. Nova and Victor secretly share visions of each other, hinting at a deeper connection .
With the help of Eliza and Willa, Zed and Addison try to unite the two groups. They discover that dying Blood Fruit roots are causing dangerous energy surges. The only solution is to combine the Daywalkers’ and Vampires’ moonstones. After struggles, they succeed, healing the land and ending the feud .
